Tandem Family of Companies is a group of HR-focused firms (founded in 1997) serving 500+ small and mid-sized businesses across multiple business units and 21 legal entities. Its finance team was running 22 QuickBooks instances and massive Excel consolidations, spending 20–30 days a month on manual reconciliations and a 30-day month-end close while struggling with complex intercompany billing and labor-cost reporting.

With help from Armanino McKenna, Tandem implemented Sage Intacct for multi-entity and project accounting, integrating Prism, Adaptive Insights, Nexonia, and MasterTax. The new system eliminated manual workarounds, saving about 500 person-hours annually, cut the monthly close from 30 to 10 days, supported 150% revenue growth ($300M to $750M) with only one added FTE in finance, and helped drive a 194% increase in EBITDA through faster, data-driven decisions and improved visibility.
