A Sage Intacct Case Study
The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is the city’s destination marketing organization, serving as the liaison between meeting planners, tour operators and more than 800 member organizations to drive tourism and bring over 42 million visitors a year. ACVB operated a multi-entity mix of nonprofit and for‑profit activities on a legacy IBM AS/400 “green screen” accounting system that lacked real-time visibility, required heavy manual work for consolidations and revenue recognition, and made monthly closes and AP/payroll processes slow and error-prone.
ACVB moved to Sage Intacct with implementation support from CliftonLarsonAllen and added integrations (Concur via ExpenseConnect, Bill.com, Adaptive Insights and Paycom) to create a cloud financial hub. The change automated revenue recognition, paperless AP and payroll imports, and multi-dimensional reporting—cutting the monthly close from about 10 days to under 3 (often 1–3), reducing AP and payroll workloads by ~70% and ~90% respectively, and paying for the software in under six months while delivering real-time financial visibility.
