Rocky Mountain Youth Corps takes its funding to new heights with Sage Intacct

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) is a New Mexico nonprofit that trains opportunity youth through land conservation, recreation, and preservation projects. As RMYC added new programs and dozens of funding sources—including government reimbursements and matching funds—its finance team outgrew Intuit QuickBooks and relied on manual spreadsheets, making fund accounting, grant billing, and multi-location reporting slow, error-prone, and hard to scale.

By implementing Sage Intacct with partner Wipfli, RMYC automated workflows and used multi-dimensional reporting and dynamic allocations to track personnel and project costs accurately. The change eliminated spreadsheets, saved about 30 hours a month, improved finance efficiency by 50%, sped the monthly close by 80%, streamlined grant billing, and helped secure $340,000 in additional funding as donors gained confidence and leaders gained clearer budgeting and visibility.
