Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a nonprofit that runs mobile dental, vision, and medical clinics for people in need. As RAM grew to tens of thousands of patients and volunteers, its on-premises Microsoft Dynamics GP system became cumbersome—causing duplicate data entry, spreadsheet-driven board reports, and long delays in timely, location-specific financial visibility that hindered operational decisions and donor confidence.

RAM moved to Sage Intacct with partner integrations (budgeting, AP approvals, expense and payroll tools) and integrated its Sumac donor system, using dimensional tagging to track costs by clinic, project, and more.
