A Sage Intacct Case Study
Whole Family Health Center is a nonprofit primary care provider on Florida’s Treasure Coast that serves patients regardless of ability to pay. Rapid growth and the demands of the COVID‑19 response exposed limits in its legacy Sage 50 and Excel‑based processes: the small accounting team spent heavy time on manual reconciliation and spreadsheet reporting and couldn’t deliver timely, fund‑specific reports for leadership and regulators.
Working with implementation partner CliftonLarsonAllen, the center moved to Sage Intacct, gaining built‑in reporting, dimensional tagging, and HIPAA‑aware cloud accounting. The change made accounting about 80% more efficient, cut the monthly close to eight days (a 73% reduction), eliminated nearly 20 hours of manual accounting work each month (with additional time saved across AP, credit‑card and fixed‑asset processes), and delivered faster, more accurate fund and COVID‑related reporting—freeing staff to focus on payroll improvements, analytics, and patient care.
