A Sage Intacct Case Study
Monstercat, North America’s largest independent electronic music label, needed a more flexible, cloud-based finance system to manage complex, fast-changing revenue streams—royalties from streaming, publishing, physical sales, licensing and merch—and support multi-entity, multi-currency operations. Their on-prem Sage 300 solution became increasingly manual and fragile (exposed during COVID-19 remote work), making consolidations, reporting, and timely analysis difficult.
Working with The Answer Company, Monstercat migrated to Sage Intacct, building a multi-entity financial infrastructure with automated reconciliations, dimensional reporting, and personalized dashboards. The switch cut days from report preparation, tripled monthly reporting output, and boosted finance-team efficiency by about 30%, giving the company clearer visibility across departments and revenue types and capacity to scale into new markets without adding headcount.
