A Sage Intacct Case Study
Laird Management is a family-owned operator with about 650 employees and 32 Burger King restaurants that has recently expanded into Anytime Fitness franchising. As the business grew and restructured, its incumbent QuickBooks/Excel setup—multiple instances, no single chart of accounts, and manual consolidations—became unwieldy, causing long month-end closes (up to 20 days) and slow, error-prone reporting.
In 2015 Laird implemented Sage Intacct, gaining a single chart of accounts, multi-entity consolidation, and easy integrations. The result: monthly close time was cut roughly in half to about 9–10 days, reporting time dropped from ~10 hours to 2, report types expanded from 2 to 5, new restaurants can be onboarded in minutes, the team was streamlined, and finance regained time to support HR, cost-saving analyses, and business growth.
