A Sage Intacct Case Study
Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) is a statewide nonprofit that manages roughly $1.4 billion in assets across nearly 2,000 funds and has delivered over $1 billion in grants since 1978. Rapid annual growth and a legacy, on‑premises Blackbaud FIMS system made fund accounting and grant workflows labor‑intensive and hard to scale, prompting ACF to seek a modern, flexible solution that could handle complex donor, investment, and reporting requirements.
With implementation partner Clark Nuber, ACF integrated Sage Intacct and Salesforce to form a cloud “operating system” that automated fund accounting, investment allocations, and fee management while giving donors and staff real‑time KPI visibility. The move eliminated a remote desktop environment (saving $24,600/year), supported over 11% transaction growth and a 6.5% increase in grants processed, shortened the monthly close by a week, cut grant entry from 25 clicks to one (ready to pay in ~20 minutes), and uncovered process bottlenecks for continuous improvement.
