A Sage Intacct Case Study
CloudCheckr, a Rochester-based SaaS provider of public cloud management for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, grew rapidly from 40 to 200 employees and serves over 500 customers. That growth exposed limitations in its QuickBooks-and-Excel accounting approach: complex usage-based pricing, manual multi-entity consolidations, and deferred-revenue processes created slow, error-prone billing, limited financial visibility, and a lengthy month-end close.
CloudCheckr implemented Sage Intacct (with AcctTwo), using its Contracts module to automate billing, revenue recognition, and reporting. In months the company halved its monthly close (10 to 5 days), cut 1–2 days of manual consolidation work, and gained daily A/R visibility; with a planned Salesforce integration it expects a 50% faster time to invoice. The solution also improved forecasting, scenario planning, cash-flow visibility, and cross-team dashboards that reduce churn risk and speed decision-making.
