A Sage Intacct Case Study
Children’s Hunger Fund, founded in 1991, provides nourishing food to children across the U.S. and about two dozen countries. The nonprofit needed better visibility into program financials and donor-restricted grants, but its legacy QuickBooks system lacked dimensional reporting and deep drilldown, hindering timely decisions and accurate reporting.
The organization implemented Sage Intacct (selected over NetSuite and QuickBooks Enterprise) to enable program-level budget vs. actuals, dimensional reporting, and automated workflows. The change eliminated weeks of back-and-forth, improved donor accountability and metrics (94.3% of the budget now goes to programs), enabled faster program expansion, saved 20–25 hours/month on card processing via Nexonia integration, and streamlined audits.
