A Sage Intacct Case Study
Behavioral Health Resources (BHR) is the oldest and largest mental health center in Thurston County, Washington, providing integrated behavioral, medical, dental, and recovery services across multiple entities and funding sources (Medicaid, grants, rental income, etc.). Facing an unsupported Microsoft Dynamics GP system and an anticipated state shift to managed care that would increase billing complexity, the new finance director prioritized a move to a modern, cloud-based financial system to reduce risk and improve agility.
BHR partnered with Sage Intacct and consulting firm Clark Nuber to complete a 60-day migration, automating data imports and payroll and configuring multi-entity, multi-dimensional reporting. The change eliminated about 20 hours of monthly close work, freed roughly 15% of transactional time for strategic initiatives, sped report and billing processes, improved accountability through granular tagging (e.g., medical projects), and enabled tracking of COVID-related finances.
