A Sage Intacct Case Study
AIM Environmental Group, an Ontario-based compost processor that turns organic waste into natural fertilizer for municipal customers, needed to modernize its finance systems to support growth and greater operational visibility. The company was relying on an outdated legacy accounting system and Excel, which made it slow and difficult to produce timely reports (often taking three to four weeks) and left it without scalable multi-entity consolidation as it planned to expand.
AIM implemented cloud-based Sage Intacct in January 2017 with partner BAASS Business Solutions, gaining permissioned dashboards, dimensional reporting and mobile access that deliver real-time financial and operational metrics to plant managers. The change shortened reporting cycles, improved collaboration, simplified intercompany transactions across 11 entities, enabled faster rollouts to new facilities, and delivered measurable time savings — all from an on-time, on-budget deployment that set the stage for further efficiency and growth.
