A Sage ERP Case Study
Yard House Restaurants, an Irvine-based chain that grew rapidly to multiple locations and 2,500+ employees, faced increasing IT burden as staff had to travel to set up and maintain systems at remote sites. To replace QuickBooks and support multi-site scalability and reporting needs, Yard House selected Sage and implemented Sage 100 ERP (later upgraded to Sage 100 Advanced ERP).
Sage implemented a thin-client architecture based on Sage 100 ERP over a T1 WAN, integrating POS data via Visual Integrator and consolidating financial modules (AP, AR, GL, inventory, fixed assets, PO). The Sage solution enabled remote management, cut IT travel time, reduced on-site accounting to one bookkeeper per restaurant plus four corporate clerks, and delivered push-button consolidated reports—resulting in significant time savings and streamlined, centralized financial control for Yard House Restaurants.
