Swing-N-Slide, a Janesville, Wisconsin manufacturer of wooden playground equipment with about 125 employees, needed to automate its business systems to support growth and add EDI and online commerce channels for big‑box retailers and consumers. The company turned to Sage using Sage 100 Premium ERP (Sage 100 ERP) as its financial backbone to manage order processing, accounting, payroll and customer data.

Sage implemented a fully integrated solution—Sage 100 ERP plus the e‑Business Manager e‑commerce module and an integrated third‑party EDI link—along with custom reseller modifications and credit‑card processing. The result was streamlined operations and more accurate order handling (EDI processes about 175 orders on a busy day), prevention of costly double shipments (single orders can be ~$15,000), a retailer locator tied to the master database, and a successful clearance website now selling 35 discontinued items directly to consumers.
