SF Museum of Modern Art Adds Sage 500 ERP to Permanent Collection

SF Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) faced fragmented, nonintegrated financial and operational systems that made it difficult to consolidate reporting, reconcile accounts, and manage a $30 million budget across its museum operations and multiple retail locations. To address these needs the museum selected Sage 500 ERP from Sage for its advanced reporting, flexible chart of accounts, and distribution features.

Sage implemented Sage 500 ERP financial and distribution modules, integrating daily admissions, POS batches (Fusion 2000), donations via Raiser’s Edge/DataPorter, and inventory/purchasing workflows. The result was end-to-end integration and stronger financial control: Cash Management now reconciles eight bank accounts, intercompany fund accounting and PO replenishment automate processes, and drill-down reporting greatly improved audit traceability and management visibility — all delivered by Sage.
