A Sage ERP Case Study
anDea Chocolate and Supplies, Inc., an Ontario-based chocolate manufacturer and distributor, faced slow, paper-driven trade-show order-taking, double-entry credit-card processing, and inaccurate business data from an outdated system. They engaged Sage and adopted Sage 100 ERP (including core, distribution, Remote Salesperson and e-Business Manager modules) to replace manual processes and modernize order capture and back-office systems.
Sage implemented Sage 100 ERP in seven working days, migrating customer/vendor data and open receivables/payables/inventory, and enabled PDA-based order entry, real-time inventory, automated GL/AP/AR, and accurate bill-of-material costing. The new Sage solution cut post-show data entry by about 400 hours a year, reduced credit-card processing time (saving ~300 hours), delivered ~700 hours of e-commerce efficiencies, and shortened order turnaround from two weeks to a day.
