A Sage ERP Case Study
Overlake Oil, a Kirkland, Washington distributor of lubricants and card lock fuels, needed an accounting package flexible enough to integrate with custom petroleum industry software as its business and fuel markets changed. The company turned to Sage ERP, using Sage 100 ERP with DM2’s vertical modules to replace an aging system and better support its accounting and industry-specific needs.
Sage ERP implemented a solution with sales order, fuel tax, and card lock modules that connected sales, inventory, billing, and back-office accounting in one system. The result was an easy interface with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet, broader user access, and growth support without adding staff; Overlake Oil said the system helped it do with only a few employees what would otherwise require many more.
