A Sage ERP Case Study
RadComm Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of radiation detection systems based in Oakville, Ontario, had outgrown its split setup of Sage Pro ERP plus a third‑party manufacturing application and faced time‑consuming year‑end reporting and inaccurate work‑in‑progress (WIP) figures. To resolve these challenges and support multi‑location, make‑to‑order operations and dual‑currency needs, RadComm turned to Sage and migrated to Sage 500 ERP.
Sage implemented an integrated Sage 500 ERP suite (including Advanced Manufacturing, Shop Floor Control, Inventory Manager, Purchase Order and Multicurrency Manager), consolidating data into a single system. The Sage solution auto‑generates/ closes work orders, delivers on‑demand WIP reports, updates inventory in real time and accounts for cost variances—resulting in reduced manual entry, faster processes, improved WIP and cost tracking, and clearer profitability and operational visibility.
