A Sage ERP Case Study
Nashville Wire Products, a family-owned industrial manufacturer in Nashville with more than 75 years of history and over $90 million in revenue, faced an aging, highly customized ERP (ProfitKey) that was costly to maintain and made it difficult to access reliable operational and financial data. To modernize operations and avoid adding headcount, Nashville Wire Products selected Sage as its vendor and implemented Sage 500 ERP along with companion solutions (Sage SalesLogix, Sage HRMS, and Sage Sales Tax).
Sage implemented an integrated, SQL-based system that consolidated seven or eight separate databases into a single accessible platform and enabled MRP-driven forecasting, streamlined purchasing, and real-time reporting. As a result, Nashville Wire Products achieved faster inventory turns, more accurate manufacturing costs, better purchasing decisions, improved efficiency across departments, uninterrupted operations during a plant flood, and stronger cash flow—demonstrating the measurable operational gains delivered by Sage.
