Kasco Greases Wheels of Sales Force With Sage 100 ERP

Kasco, a Maryland-based distributor of BG Products, needed to automate its 20-person field sales force and integrate route handhelds so invoices could be produced at the point of sale. After outgrowing Sage 50—U.S. Edition, Kasco worked with Sage to migrate to Sage 100 ERP and use a Route Management System (RMS) interface to achieve end-to-end accounting, inventory management, and mobile sales reporting.

Sage implemented Sage 100 ERP with an RMS connection (via a licensed developer) so sales reps can print invoices in their vans, download transactions to headquarters, and access live customer and credit data. The Sage solution eliminated manual AR ticket entry, delivered real-time visibility, improved inventory and purchase-order accuracy, and cut data-entry time by about 90%, while streamlining bank reconciliation and reporting.
