A Sage ERP Case Study
Hoya Vision Care of the Americas, a Lewisville, TX manufacturer and distributor of ophthalmic lenses, was constrained by an aging legacy system that limited invoicing to about 100 invoices per day, couldn’t support growing transaction volumes, and lacked full-featured warehousing and automation. After evaluating ERP options, Hoya selected Sage ERP X3 to replace the legacy application and address its warehousing, inventory, and transaction-capacity challenges.
Sage ERP X3 was implemented in four months (order fulfillment, inventory, purchasing, advanced warehousing, and data collection) with Hoya’s team taking ownership of the rollout. The Sage ERP X3 deployment doubled Hoya’s customer base, added 500,000 pieces to inventory, cut average inventory variance from 12–18k to about 600 pieces on a 2 million-piece inventory, improved real-time reporting and landed-cost calculations, and was rolled out to Hoya’s UK division — delivering rapid ROI and greater operational control.
