A Sage ERP Case Study
Hayden Concrete, a precast concrete manufacturer in Rillito, Arizona, had grown beyond the capabilities of its legacy Sage BusinessWorks Accounting system—maintaining more than 800 components and a 10.5-acre yard forced a labor-intensive year-end inventory that took over 30 man-days and created payroll and reporting bottlenecks. To address these challenges the company evaluated options and moved to Sage’s Sage 100 ERP (Special Edition for BusinessWorks customers).
Sage implemented the Sage BusinessWorks Accounting Special Edition of Sage 100 ERP (accounting and manufacturing modules) and used Sage 100 ERP Data Migrator to convert all historical data. The new Sage solution dramatically sped up inventory processing (reducing the 30+ man-day year-end count to monthly spot checks and saving at least 20 man-days), cut payroll processing time by about 10%, automated Davis‑Bacon and workers’ comp reporting, and provided streamlined chart-of-accounts and product histories for better inventory management.
