GCI Outdoor stands up for Sage 100 ERP

GCI Outdoor, a growing outdoor accessory distributor, outgrew entry‑level QuickBooks—unable to track future orders and reliant on dozens of spreadsheets for inventory, multi‑warehouse control, and planning. To address these limits, GCI Outdoor selected Sage 100 ERP from Sage to provide a mid‑market ERP with inventory, MRP, and order management capabilities.

Sage 100 ERP was implemented (with historical data imported by GCI’s Sage partner) so sales staff enter orders with real‑time item availability and warehouse staff use barcode scanning for shipping; the RMA module automates returns and captures reason codes, and the MRP module produces accurate sales projections and supply/demand allocation. As a result, Sage helped GCI Outdoor cut order processing time in half—orders now ship the same day—reduce out‑of‑stocks, streamline returns, and gain actionable sales and inventory reporting.
