A Sage ERP Case Study
Andex Industries, a consumer product packaging manufacturer in Escanaba, Michigan, needed to replace its aging AS/400-based mix of custom and legacy applications with a flexible, integrated ERP. The company selected Sage and implemented the Sage 500 ERP (with Sage HRMS) to gain built-in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, accounting, payroll/HR, and credit-card processing functionality without heavy custom programming.
Sage configured Sage 500 ERP across Andex Industries’ three divisions to support both make-to-order and make-to-stock operations, add estimating and SQL-based reporting, and provide real-time inventory and payment processing. As a result, order fulfillment dropped from several days to same-day shipping, estimating became accurate enough to ensure project profitability, and all divisions now run on one application—improving visibility, staff flexibility, and operational efficiency.
