A Sage ERP Case Study
A.M. Leonard, a 130‑year‑old horticulture distributor, needed to replace an aging, inflexible application that made changes costly and slowed order processing across its multichannel sales (call center, two websites, Amazon and other marketplaces). The company selected Sage and its Sage ERP X3 solution to provide a scalable, customizable ERP that could be tailored to its unique pricing, fulfillment and inventory requirements.
Sage implemented Sage ERP X3 with rapid customizations and integrations (including a Visual Basic freight‑quote interface and a smart import for Amazon orders) and had the system live in four months. The result was faster, more accurate order processing, instant freight quotes, automated marketplace order imports, improved visibility into orders and cash flow, and inventory efficiencies — notably cutting physical count time in half and enabling A.M. Leonard to ship more packages with less staff.
