Helse Stavanger, a local health enterprise in Norway, faced the challenge of planning and coordinating the highly complex construction of its new SUS2023 hospital, a 100,000-square-meter facility with 22,000 simultaneous activities. To avoid major setbacks and delays on this time-critical, five-year project, they required an innovative approach to scheduling and contractor coordination. They partnered with vendor Safran to utilize its project control system.

Safran implemented its specialized software, including the new Safran Takt visualization tool, to break the massive project down into manageable, one-week planning intervals. This solution provided an intuitive overview of progress and ensured all contractors used the same system and "spoke the same language." The result was a highly adaptive plan that gave the team full control over all activities, allowing them to quickly recover from small delays and prevent larger issues, thus keeping the ambitious project on track for its 2023 completion.
