Supermarket Insurance Group, which specializes in serving independent grocery store owners, needed a better way to train policyholders’ employees on safety, especially in rural locations with dial-up internet, limited computer skills, and some Spanish-speaking workers. They turned to SafetySkills for a digital safety training solution tailored to the grocery retail environment.

SafetySkills created a stand-alone online program with 11 industry-specific 45-minute courses, available in English and Spanish and optimized for both high-speed and dial-up access. Hosted through the parent company’s website and delivered via SafetySkills’ learning management system, the training led to a 55% reduction in workers’ compensation claims and more than $200K in reduced losses.
