A SafetyLine Lone Worker Case Study
Seasons Health Therapies, a Kamloops-based provider of occupational therapy and home rehabilitation services, faced significant safety risks because clinicians routinely work alone in clients’ homes and travel long distances across BC’s interior. To protect staff from unpredictable client behaviours, remote locations, and road hazards, Seasons turned to SafetyLine Lone Worker for an automated lone‑worker monitoring solution.
SafetyLine Lone Worker provided a cloud‑based app with proactive check‑in timers, GPS tracking, text activity notes and satellite device integration for no‑service areas, allowing therapists to check in (often hourly) and supervisors to receive immediate alerts and location data if a check‑in is missed. The service increased employee confidence and response speed, reduced reliance on costly call centers and extra hardware (staff used existing phones), and has been in continuous use at Seasons for over four years, improving safety outcomes and operational efficiency.
