Case Study: Edinburgh Leisure achieves greater visibility and accountability with SafetyCulture

A SafetyCulture Case Study

Preview of the Edinburgh Leisure Case Study

How Edinburgh leisure utilized iAuditor by SafetyCulture to increase visibility, accountability and to ensure their teams never used paper-based checklists again

Edinburgh Leisure, a charity managing over 50 venues across the city, needed a simpler way to handle compliance, audits, and frontline checks across its many facilities. Health, Safety and Compliance Manager Gordon Forsyth looked for a tool to reduce paperwork and improve ownership and accountability, and found SafetyCulture (formerly iAuditor) to support inspections and checklists.

SafetyCulture was rolled out first at a smaller site and then expanded across all venues after WiFi was installed, allowing managers to customize and complete digital checklists on their own. Edinburgh Leisure now uses SafetyCulture for daily gym checks, pre-opening checks, fire and first aid checks, and more, with photos, videos, and analytics improving visibility. The result: the organization has eliminated paper checks entirely, improved accountability, and scaled usage from one facility to over 50.
