Metal Trades, Inc. (MTI) is a heavy steel fabricator and shipyard specializing in OEM components, barge construction and ship repair. MTI needed a better-organized safety program: training materials weren’t being absorbed (many employees are Spanish-speaking), and managers were spending 6–7 hours per day administering and documenting training, so MTI engaged SafetyPlusWeb’s cloud-based safety management and training platform.

SafetyPlusWeb provided Employee Landing Pages, a 60+ video bilingual training library with required tests (80% pass and acknowledgement), automatic tracking and notifications, and hosted MTI’s SDSs and safety manual; MTI also built an on-site training lab to access the platform.
