Milestone Retirement Communities partnered with SafelyYou to address a critical challenge: reducing resident falls and improving care across its senior living communities. In 2022, the company piloted SafelyYou’s AI-powered fall detection and video review technology in two communities to better understand fall incidents and respond more effectively.

With SafelyYou’s platform and remote clinical support, Milestone identified causes behind falls, implemented targeted interventions, and expanded the program after strong early results. In just three months, the pilot delivered a 64% reduction in fall volume and a 65% reduction in fall severity, while resident opt-ins increased; falls resulting in an ER visit dropped to 2.9% versus an industry average of 23.6%. The success led Milestone Retirement Communities to expand SafelyYou to 10 additional communities.
