Norwegian tech company gains competitive advantage for hiring top global talent

CloudWay, a Norway-based tech consultancy that hires highly specialized Microsoft experts, needed to move quickly to hire top global talent but didn’t have local entities in candidates’ home countries. Using Safeguard Global’s GEO as the employer of record—providing in-country HR, payroll, compliance and a self-service platform—CloudWay hired engineers in the U.K. and Finland (and later another U.K. hire), avoiding the time and cost of entity setup. As a result, CloudWay grew headcount from 6 to 10 (a 66.7%/≈67% increase) in seven months, has doubled revenue over four years, and now operates globally without opening new offices, making Safeguard Global a core part of its growth strategy.
