Commercial Leisure Facility Company - Customer Case Study

Commercial Leisure Facility Company wanted to install a new heating system but needed to understand how much spare electrical capacity was available first. Safecility supported the project using the Vutility HotDrop energy monitor powered by Safecility’s software platform to assess the facility’s existing power usage and help determine the best heating option.

Safecility installed wireless energy monitors on the facility’s three phases and tracked energy use over seven days. The data revealed a load balancing issue, and once this was corrected the facility found it had 30 amps of spare capacity for heating; without that adjustment, the available capacity would have been only 10 amps. This gave the customer the information needed to choose the most suitable and efficient heating upgrade.
