Spatial DNA, a specialist in integrating spatial data into corporate systems, partnered with NAV CANADA to tackle the complex challenge of managing national aeronautical data. NAV CANADA needed a solution to generate XML-based transactional updates, ingest several hundred flight-path designs used in aircraft auto-navigation, and restructure 3D airspace descriptions and associated communications services for several thousand features across Canada — all while improving data quality as it was processed.

Using FME Desktop’s graphical interface, Spatial DNA built automated workflows to create the required XML transactional messages, ingest and transform flight-path designs, and reorganize 3D airspace and communications data at scale.
