Korem, a geospatial technology specialist since 1993 serving telecommunications, insurance, retail, infrastructure and public-sector clients, supported a telecommunications customer that needed an easy way for internal users to extract and manipulate databases, spatially enable data, and produce maps and reports to inform operations and strategy.

Korem delivered reusable FME workflows that give users autonomy and flexibility to integrate multiple data sources—customer call logs, network coverage, demographics, traffic—and generate analyses and reports. The client now uses FME to manage call drops, signal coverage, new-customer distribution, churn, and decisions on new wireless technologies and tower placement, freeing staff from repetitive tasks and enabling faster, spatially informed business decisions.
