Finavia worked with Spatialworld, a Safe Software partner, to improve the safety and operations of Finland’s airports. The airport operator needed a better way to handle obstacle avoidance, airspace planning, and other manual, time-consuming workflows using FME by Safe Software.

Using FME, Safe Software helped Finavia automate map creation, database updates, and data checks across multiple sources such as DGN, PostGIS, LAS, Excel, HTML, XML, and Oracle. The result was less manual work, improved data quality, and better operations across all 22 Finnish airports.
