Dotted Eyes, a Platinum Safe Software and Tableau partner with over 20 years of GIS experience, needed to supply UK boundary reference geographies ready for use in Tableau through their data download portal. Preparing these datasets required pre-processing like generalization and re-projection, and they wanted a solution that avoided writing custom code.

Using FME’s graphical interface and pre-programmed transformers, Dotted Eyes automated the pre-processing and leveraged FME’s ability to write Tableau data (TDE) to build regular extract workflows. The result was streamlined, repeatable data delivery, tighter integration between tools, and expanded use cases that improved mapping and data capabilities for their clients.
