AVID, a nonprofit college-readiness system serving schools and postsecondary institutions, needed a better way to manage its growing inventory of printed materials, DVDs, and kitted training products. Its previous warehousing and fulfillment provider could no longer keep up with AVID’s increasing complexity and quality requirements, so AVID turned to Saddle Creek Logistics Services for fulfillment support.

Saddle Creek Logistics Services transitioned AVID’s inventory into a single distribution center, bar-coded items for system control, optimized kitting and returns handling, and integrated order transmittal with AVID’s Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP system. As a result, AVID improved inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and fulfillment quality, while gaining full visibility into its warehousing and fulfillment operations through Saddle Creek’s web-based order management system.
