USTravel, the largest privately-held travel management company in the Pacific Northwest with 15 regional branches, needed a modern, scalable GDS to support rapid growth and complex large-group work. Sabre took a consultative approach—embedding teams in USTravel offices, recommending workflow improvements and implementing Sabre Red components (ClientBase, GetThere and Sabre Web Services) plus a QIK Developer automation for group reservations. The results included a smooth conversion, a 40% reduction in keystrokes and elimination of manual passenger-data errors for that process, unanimous managerial support (43 of 44 voted for Sabre) and measurable time reallocated to customer service.
