TFE Hotels, a leading hotel operator across Australia, New Zealand and Europe, faced the challenge of standing out to travel agents in a crowded marketplace. They partnered with Sabre (Sabre Hospitality Solutions) to increase visibility in the Global Distribution System (GDS) using targeted GDS media campaigns for Australia’s 2016 winter season.
Sabre implemented cluster and individual property campaigns with eye-catching creatives and prime placement in agents’ workspaces, offering limited-time discounts (up to 20% off BAR) and guest perks like free Wi‑Fi, late checkout and a welcome gift. The campaigns delivered a 37.5:1 return on investment, generated 727 new agency bookings (5.5% of campaign bookings), produced 14% year-over-year booking growth in the Sydney cluster (vs. 5.8% market growth) and drove an 8% YoY increase in the Brisbane cluster despite a local market decline, demonstrating measurable impact for TFE Hotels.
