A Saba Case Study
VisitScotland, Scotland’s national tourism organisation, employs about 1,000 people across 15 local offices and 100+ visitor centres. During a major restructure into five directorates and the rollout of new HR initiatives, the HR team discovered it lacked current, accessible personnel data and reporting tools, making headcount, workforce analytics and organizational design slow and error-prone.
They implemented Saba’s Planning@Work to centralize HR data, give managers secure ownership of team information, and model organizational and budget impacts. As a result HR shifted from administrative to strategic work, managers now self‑serve employee data and org charts, succession planning has been enabled, and the finance team estimates time savings equivalent to up to four staff days per month.
