Cornerstone Healthcare Group, a Dallas-based provider of extended acute-care with 19 facilities and about 2,000 employees, needed a better way to support its patient-centered mission. The organization struggled with outdated paper spreadsheets for pay-for-performance, inconsistent and low-quality performance feedback, and logistical barriers for nurses who spend little time at computers.
Cornerstone implemented Halogen Performance, Compensation and Succession to automate workflows, integrate performance ratings with payroll, and provide coaching and peer-recognition tools. The four-month rollout delivered a 100% completion rate for 2,100 reviews, improved feedback quality and visibility of core behaviors, freed clinical staff to focus on patients, and earned a Halogen Dazzling Implementation Award.
