Svevia is a wholly state‑owned Swedish road and construction contractor with about 2,500 employees and nationwide operations. Faced with an urgent need to centralise and efficiently manage employee learning, education and certifications—including attaching credible CVs to project tenders and reducing large-scale instructor-led training costs—Svevia’s legacy systems proved inflexible and often out of date.
Svevia worked with Comenius to deploy Saba’s cloud-based learning management system and upgrade Svevia Academy, standardising more than 150 courses and centralising certification tracking. The solution improved tender documentation quality, cut travel and classroom costs, increased employee self‑service adoption (supporting hundreds of learners in major rollout programs), and delivered a more usable, scalable platform for ongoing competency, safety and compliance management.
