A Saba Case Study
Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia and Eastern Europe, serves over 70 million retail customers and employs more than 230,000 people across 18,000 branches in a dozen countries. After rapid growth through mergers and acquisitions, the bank faced the challenge of scaling learning, standardizing onboarding and enabling talent mobility and innovation across a vast, distributed workforce.
Sberbank selected Saba to build the Virtual School of Sberbank (VSS), a corporate university and modern learning platform with social collaboration, assessments and mobile access. VSS launched to top managers in three months and grew to 36,000 users in its first year, centralizing training, delivering anytime/anywhere learning on iOS and Android, distributing multimedia content (compulsory courses, development guides and tests), and providing reporting and analytics to measure and adapt learning.
