A Saba Case Study
Santa Clara County’s Social Services Agency, which serves tens of thousands of residents and supports about 2,400 employees plus external partners, faced rising training costs and cumbersome, manual administration that made reporting and certification tracking difficult. With state and federal funding tighter and reporting requirements increasing, the agency needed a more efficient way to manage classroom and web-based learning and to foster a culture where employees proactively pursue required training.
The agency selected Saba Cloud to publish an online course catalog, automate registration, track attendance, completions and certifications, and deliver web-based courses and virtual classrooms using Saba Publisher. The cloud LMS eliminated infrastructure overhead, streamlined reporting, and encouraged process change—yielding immediate savings of 5,300 administrative hours and 2,600 travel hours, wider adoption of eLearning, and plans to expand the solution countywide to up to 15,000 users.
