A Saba Case Study
Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University, a world‑leading aviation and aerospace school with residential campuses in Daytona Beach and Prescott plus a worldwide network of 150+ sites serving over 31,000 students, needed a way to deliver interactive, real‑time instruction to learners across the globe, better use geographically dispersed faculty, and cut travel and course‑cancellation costs at small outlying campuses.
The university implemented Saba‑based EagleVision (Classroom and Home), a synchronous virtual learning platform with HD video, VoIP, whiteboards, breakout rooms, chat and recordings, plus hybrid course options. The solution let top faculty teach remotely, reduced travel overhead, minimized cancellations, and boosted reach and revenue — registrations grew from about 2,300 in 2008 to more than 12,000 by 2012–13, with over 4,500 students regularly relying on EagleVision.
