A Saba Case Study
Rescue Social Change Group is a behavior-change marketing agency that designs campaigns to reduce unhealthy behaviors among youth and young adults for clients like health departments and the FDA. After 11 years as a regional firm, they unexpectedly won a $152 million national tobacco-prevention contract and had to scale quickly — growing from ~30 to 150+ employees — while preserving their rebellious, mission-driven culture.
To meet that challenge they adopted Saba’s Intelligent Talent Management platform and paired it with creative, culture-first practices: a cross-country three-day retreat recorded for onboarding, a dedicated onboarding “Concierge,” and performance criteria weighted 55% Goals / 30% Skills / 15% Values. The result: new-hire ramp-up time cut by about 50% (new staff running independently in ~2 weeks), formal performance-management participation rose from 20% to 100%, stronger engagement and development, and preservation of Rescue’s core values as they scaled.
