Quintiles, a pharmaceutical services firm with 21,000 employees in more than 65 countries, needed up-to-date organizational visibility to support global decision-making, verify HR data in PeopleSoft, and stop dozens of administrators from spending hours weekly building org charts. They also required presentation-quality charts to demonstrate regional capacity to clients, a web-based solution with inherited security and single sign-on, and minimal training to drive adoption.
Quintiles implemented Saba’s Planning@Work, which integrates with PeopleSoft to deliver a daily-refreshed, web-based org chart and phone directory with inherited security/SSO. The solution eliminated manual chart maintenance, exposed and corrected hierarchy issues, improved workflow and data integrity, provided sales-ready visual charts to shorten sales cycles, and saved the company hundreds of labor hours while restoring confidence in organizational data.
