PZ Cussons, a century-old consumer goods manufacturer operating across Africa, Asia and Europe, faced a challenge: its Oracle On Demand HR system provided a central data repository but lacked visual charting and easy organizational views for managers and employees. With a dispersed workforce (8,000+ users) the HR team needed a way to display org charts, validate reporting lines, and identify unlinked “orphan” records to improve data accuracy and workforce visibility.
The company implemented Saba’s Planning@Work across the UK, Nigeria and Indonesia, offering intranet access and kiosks for non‑PC users. The solution visualized org structures, enabled HR to clean data (reducing orphans from over 20% to ~2%), delivered head‑count and department views for better resourcing, and introduced Blueprint modeling for M&A, design and succession planning—resulting in greater transparency, improved decision‑making and stronger talent planning.
