New Oriental Education & Technology Group is China’s largest private education provider, with nearly 17,000 teachers, 726 learning centers and millions of students and online users. As the organization grew rapidly, it needed a centralized, standardized way for teachers and staff across 50 cities to manage resources, collaborate, access training, and support consistent HR processes for recruitment, evaluation and promotion.

New Oriental selected Saba to build an integrated people-management and learning platform that combines formal and informal learning, an eight-panel iPortal (iSpace, iPeople, iTeach, iWork, iLearn, iMeeting, iEvent, iApps), online training and testing, and collaboration tools like wikis and forums. The solution gave staff easy access to course materials and feedback, sped new-teacher development, improved training efficiency, and strengthened HR capabilities for hiring, talent evaluation and promotions across the organization.
